Introductory Offer Terms & Conditions
The offer
The Introductory Offer is a one-time, prepaid launch package for the first 50 customers who buy it.
$249 tax included, paid in full at purchase
You receive:
- Three full-synthetic oil changes. Each covers up to 5 quarts. Additional quarts are $12 each, plus sales tax, paid by you at the time of service.
- One free air filter, cabin or engine, your choice. It covers the full price of the filter service you choose, installation included, as listed on the price list for your vehicle, and it is redeemed at the time of an oil change, once.
- One free tire rotation, added to an oil change, once. It is not available as a standalone visit.
- 10% off all other services for 12 months from the date of purchase. “Other services” means anything outside the package, such as additional oil changes, standalone tire rotations, seasonal packages, PPIs, and add-ons. The discount does not apply to the three prepaid oil changes or to additional-quart charges.
Each prepaid oil change is the same service described in the Services section of the Service Terms. That includes high-mileage oil at no extra charge for vehicles over about 75,000 miles, the ask-first fluid top-off rule, a written inspection card, tire pressure check and fill, and a printed service record.
Sales tax. The $249 price includes sales tax, so you pay $249 and nothing more for the package. The prepaid services you redeem from it carry no further sales tax. Anything you buy outside the package, such as extra quarts or other services, is charged sales tax when you buy it.
Eligibility and enrollment
Anyone who is at least 18 can buy the Introductory Offer package while spots remain, either for themselves or as a gift for someone else. To enroll, you sign up, accept both sets of terms, and pay $249 (tax included) through Square. If you are buying the package as a gift, you also enter the recipient’s name and contact information at signup. The package is enrolled under the recipient’s account, and the recipient is the customer for that package. Your spot is confirmed when HMA sends the purchase confirmation.
The prepaid oil changes and every other redemption are valid only for vehicles and locations inside HMA’s standard scope. That means domestic, Japanese, and Korean vehicles, model year 2000 or newer, in Cache Valley from Wellsville to Smithfield. European vehicles and diesels are not covered by the package, even if HMA agrees to service one by request under the Service Terms. If you ask for service on an out-of-scope vehicle or outside the area, that service is not covered by the package, and the scope rules in the Service Terms apply.
Limited spots and timing
HMA is selling 50 Introductory Offer spots. Spots go first come, first served. This offer runs through December 31, 2026, or until all 50 spots are sold, whichever comes first. HMA may open more spots later as a separate decision, but this offer is limited to 50 at any given time.
Your date of purchase starts two clocks. The three oil changes and the two free items are valid for 18 months from that date. The 10% discount on other services runs for 12 months from that date.
Redemption and restrictions
The package belongs to the customer who bought it, not to a vehicle. The three oil changes can be used on any in-scope vehicle you choose, including a family member’s car, as long as each vehicle and location is inside the scope and area described above. For a vehicle you do not own, the Service Terms still apply, so you confirm you have the owner’s permission and an adult is present at the visit.
- One oil change per visit. Each oil change is its own appointment. A customer cannot redeem several oil changes on several vehicles in one stop.
- Free items ride with an oil change. The free air filter and the free tire rotation are each used once, alongside an oil change. They are not standalone visits.
- Two windows. The three oil changes and the two free items expire 18 months after purchase. The 10% discount expires 12 months after purchase. Unused items expire with no refund and no extension, except as the refund section describes.
- Gifting and transfers. A package may be purchased as a gift for someone else. The recipient’s name and contact information must be entered at the time of enrollment, and the package is enrolled under the recipient’s account as the customer. Once enrolled, the package and 10% discount belong to that account, and the package cannot be resold, gifted, or reassigned to a different person’s account.
- Deposits. A visit redeemed from the package needs no separate deposit, because the package is prepaid. Any other service you book, including an additional oil change bought at the 10% discount, follows the standard deposit rules in the Service Terms, including the $40 deposit for a Comprehensive (Level 2) PPI.
- Scheduling your visits. To book a visit from your package, contact HMA directly by phone or text rather than using the online booking tool. HMA schedules every package visit personally, which keeps online deposits from applying to a redemption you have already paid for.
- Declined rotation. If HMA declines to rotate a tire under the tire rotation refusal terms, the free rotation is not used up.
- No cash value. The package has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, except for the refunds described below.
- No stacking. The 10% discount can never be combined with another discount or promotion, unless HMA states otherwise in writing for a specific offer.
- Thread repair. If your 12-month discount window is still open, the 10% discount applies to the $50 drain pan thread repair fee described in the Service Terms, bringing it to $45. It does not apply to the cost of any additional oil needed to refill after the repair.
Satisfaction guarantee and refunds
HMA’s guarantee: if your first oil change doesn’t win you over, HMA will refund the rest of your package. Tell HMA within 30 days of that visit and before you redeem anything else from the package, and HMA will refund your unused balance, no questions asked. The first visit includes a free air filter or tire rotation added to it. The rest of the package and the 10% discount end when the refund is paid. This guarantee is separate from the workmanship warranty in the Service Terms, which still covers every visit.
Unused balance means $249 minus the standard price-list price of every package service HMA has delivered, and never less than zero — in effect, everything except the discounted oil change and the air filter or tire rotation, if either was redeemed at that same visit. For example, after one oil change at the standard price of $99 with nothing else redeemed, the unused balance is $150. Additional quarts and other services you paid for separately are not part of the package and are not refunded through it. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
After the 30 days, or once you redeem a second package service, the package fee is non-refundable, except that HMA refunds your unused balance if it ends the Introductory Offer program early, as described below.
If HMA ends the Introductory Offer program before you have used your whole package, HMA refunds your unused balance, calculated the same way. Refunds owed for HMA cancellations and unsafe conditions are covered in the next section.
Cancellations, no-shows, and unsafe conditions
The booking and cancellation rules in the Service Terms apply to Introductory Offer visits, with these package-specific points.
- Notice. Cancel a scheduled prepaid oil change more than 24 hours ahead and nothing is lost. To move it, give at least 4 hours’ notice and it carries forward to the new time.
- No-shows and late cancellations. HMA still waits 15 minutes before calling a no-show. A prepaid visit has no deposit to forfeit, so a no-show, or a cancellation with 24 hours’ notice or less, on a scheduled prepaid oil change does not use up that oil change. You will be charged a $20 fee, the same amount as the standard deposit on a regular oil change, before HMA reschedules it.
- Other services. A service you book with the 10% discount follows the normal deposit and forfeiture rules in the Service Terms.
- If HMA cancels or moves your appointment because of weather, illness, an equipment problem, or a safety concern, the oil change is not used up. You choose a new time. A weather reschedule is never a late cancellation on your side.
- Unsafe conditions. If HMA decides part or all of a service would be unsafe, the unsafe conditions policy in the Service Terms applies. That portion is not performed and does not count as used. You can reschedule it, or take a refund of the standard price-list price of the service not performed, up to your unused balance.
Changes, ending the offer, and disqualification
HMA may stop selling new Introductory Offer spots at any time, including before the 50th is sold. HMA will not reduce what you have already bought. If HMA updates these terms, your purchase stays under the version you accepted at purchase, the same way bookings work under the Service Terms.
If HMA ends the Introductory Offer program before you have used your whole package, you receive a refund of your unused balance, as described above.
HMA may cancel a package and refuse further package services for fraud or misuse. Examples are selling or transferring the package, giving false information, or abusive conduct toward HMA. In that case HMA refunds the unused balance, unless the reason was fraud.
How this fits with the Service Terms
These promotion terms sit on top of the Hillside Mobile Auto Service Terms. Everything in the Service Terms applies to each Introductory Offer visit, including the services and scope, customer responsibilities and site requirements, vehicle condition and pre-existing conditions, the tire rotation refusal, the 30-day or 1,000-mile workmanship warranty, the limitation of liability and customer release, environmental handling, privacy, and dispute terms. If these promotion terms and the Service Terms conflict about the package itself, these promotion terms apply. In every other case, the Service Terms apply.
The Introductory Offer does not create broader liability for HMA than the Service Terms do. HMA repairs or pays for damage it causes by negligence, and liability is otherwise limited as the Service Terms describe. For a service delivered from the package, the amount you paid for that service is treated as its standard price-list price, but never more than the package price.
HMA uses the information collected at signup the way the Service Terms describe. That includes reminders about unused package services and their expiration dates. HMA will not use photos of your vehicle or property in marketing without your permission.
These terms are governed by Utah law, and disputes are handled as the Service Terms describe, including the courts of Cache County and small claims court.
